How ELASTECH assisted a client to create an AR/VR prototype app for non-drug treatmeants
Genentech, a global life sciences company, approached ELASTECH about developing an AR/VR app that would be used for non-drug treatments. There was a need to develop an environment in which doctors could run simulations on their patients to see how they react in certain situations. To ensure successful treatment, the simulations had to be as realistic as possible. In addition, the simulations had to be designed in such a way that individual variables could be exchanged in order to see how patients react to the changes.

ELASTECH engaged a team of online gaming experts who worked with the client’s doctors, scientists, and technologies to build the prototype app in a matter of months. With the prototype, doctors were able to easily create and modify simulations.
- Outcomes
The speed at which the prototype was created allowed the client to move into clinical trials a year faster than they originally expected. It allowed doctors to significantly increase the success of their treatments due to iteration and great flexibility.
